<Event Summary>
In partnership with NUS Enterprise, One&Co is proud to host a sharing session by IPSA and SLATE for you to learn about all matters relating to IP (Intellectual Property) and legal assistance for startups. This session is especially useful to foreign or new companies that may be unfamiliar with corporate and legal matters in the Singaporean landscape.
Through a series of engaging talks, the speakers will provide an accessible overview of IP and other challenging topics that startups might face, such as:
• Intellectual Property (Copyright, Trademark, Patents, Registered Design)
• Operations I: Privacy & Data Protection (by IPSA)
• Operations II: Essentials of contracts & agreements (by SLATE)
• Incorporation: Forming an entity, licenses/permits, shares, director’s duties, and agreements among owners (by SLATE)
<About the Speakers>
IPSA (Intellectual Property Students’ Association):
Founded in 2016 by NUS Law students as an informal community of people interested in aspects of intellectual property law, the club has become a full-fledged student interest group with formal recognition by the NUS Faculty of Law in 2019.
SLATE@NUSLaw:
A community of undergraduate students from NUS Law who believe that entrepreneurs in Singapore are deserving of assistance in managing the legal aspects of their endeavours. SLATE provides pro bono legal assistance to those in need in the startup ecosystem.
