Collaboration Agreement for Kansai-Singapore Innovation Partnership

We are pleased to announce that One&Co has entered into a collaboration agreement to promote innovation in both the Kansai region and Singapore.

One&Co has signed a cooperation agreement titled “Collaboration for Innovation Promotion in both Singapore and Kansai Region” with the Kansai Economic Federation and the Asia Business Creation Platform (ABCP) organized by the Kansai Economic Federation. The Kansai Economic Federation is a comprehensive economic organization with approximately 1,300 member companies, organizations, and educational institutions engaged in economic activities in the Kansai region.

The Kansai region boasts a rich historical heritage that spans over a thousand years, having once served as Japan’s capital. This area is renowned for preserving a vibrant tapestry of traditional culture, including approximately one-fourth of Japan’s registered World Heritage Sites and numerous national treasures and important cultural properties. Known for its samurai culture, garden art, Zen, and tea ceremonies, the Kansai region represents the origins of Japan’s traditional culture. Furthermore, the upcoming EXPO2025 OSAKA/KANSAI, scheduled to take place for 184 days from April 13, 2025, to October 13, 2025, has brought significant attention to this region.

The signing of this agreement leverages the networks and expertise developed through previous efforts by ABCP and aims to promote the formation of a business community connecting Kansai and Singapore. It seeks to create new business opportunities between Kansai and Singapore.

On the Singapore side, Mr. Takahiko Ito, General Manager of One&Co, will serve as a dedicated advisor. One&Co will act as a receptacle for startups recommended by ABCP and provide co-working spaces as well as introduce Singaporean companies.

Meanwhile, in the Kansai region, Hankyu Hanshin Real Estate Co., Ltd., which manages startup support facilities such as GVH#5 in Osaka Umeda under ABCP, will accept Singaporean startup companies in various facilities associated with ABCP in Kansai. They will also provide various forms of support for company introductions in the Kansai region.

In connection with this initiative, the Kansai Economic Federation will support the overseas expansion of Kansai companies, particularly startups, through the activities of ABCP and others. In facilitating the acceptance of Singaporean companies in Kansai, we will also utilize ABCP’s corporate network to support the growth of Singaporean companies.

We look forward to your continued support as we embark on this exciting journey.
