About Osaka Innovation Hub (OIH):
Established by the city of Osaka in 2013, Osaka Innovation Hub serves as a hub for entrepreneurs and technologists with a vision to take on the world. With the theme “From Osaka to the World,” OIH organizes approximately 250 events and programs annually, focused on fostering the creation of new businesses and facilitating scale-ups. Through the exchange of diverse people, companies, and ideas, OIH supports community building and the transformation of business plans into reality. OIH is dedicated to advancing the development of a circular system, the “Innovation Ecosystem,” in the Kansai region, where entrepreneurs are born, nurtured, turned into successes, and in turn, create the next generation of successes.
The Global Challenge:
As highlighted in a recent report by the Ministry of Economy on Japan, Trade and Industry, the domestic market is projected to face relative stagnation in the coming years. To foster substantial growth, startups must venture into international markets. However, despite the desire of many startups to expand globally, only a mere 18% have successfully executed such endeavors.
