This year, Prime Minister Kishida’s economic policy, the “5-Year Startup Development Plan,” is in full swing.Mr. Goto, Minister of State for Startups, who is leading the implementation of the plan, visited One&Co space to see how vibrant it is.
First, he greeted the tenant companies while taking a look around. After that, he participated in an expert meeting with startups and innovation professionals based in Singapore.
We discussed from various angles why they chose to locate in Singapore, the attractiveness of the Singapore ecosystem, its potential, and what is needed to increase the number of global startups from Japan.
One of the comments from the participants was that Singapore is unique in that “startups are moving from a country level to cross-border. Singapore has many advantages both geographically and institutionally, but the content of the discussion was that global expansion startups are a prerequisite.
We at One&Co, a co-working space business here in Singapore, have renewed our commitment to continue challenging ourselves to be at the forefront of this cross-border ecosystem.
